Recently, the 2023 National U18 Athletics Championships and the East Asian Youth Games selection competition were held in Tianjin.

Ding Zhuhui, an athlete from Rugao, a county-level city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, won the gold medal in shot put at the National U18 Athletics Championships with a score of 17.85 meters and qualified for the national team training camp.

The selection competition was led by Hong Yuanjian, a senior coach of the national high-level throwing base of the Rugao Sports Center.

Ding Zhuhui will be a member of the Chinese team in the quadrennial East Asian Youth Games.
