Hai'an unveils 2023 development goals for construction industry

The municipal conference on the development of the construction industry was held in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Jan 31, local media reported.
Attendees of the conference reflected on the achievements of the industry in 2022 and laid out the major development goals for 2023.
It was announced at the conference that the county last year saw a construction output value of 207.5 billion yuan ($30.88 billion) and aims to reach 220 billion yuan in 2023.
In addition, the county aims to carry out an additional 30 high-quality provincial projects this year.
Yu Lizhong, municipal Party secretary, and Tan Zhen, mayor of Hai'an, attended the conference and delivered speeches.
Yu said that the county's construction industry should seize new development opportunities in the new year to boost high-quality development. Deepening industrial transformation should be the focus of the construction industry in 2023, he added.
Tan said that local authorities will roll out preferential policies this year to encourage more entrepreneurs to invest in the county's construction industry.
