Five enterprises in Hai’an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province recently made the list of China’s top 500 agricultural enterprises.

The companies are Xinyuan Silk Group, Jiangsu Goldland Oils & Grains Food Co Ltd, Jiangsu Tiancheng Group, Xilong Oil and Grain Group, and Jiangsu Zhongyang Group. 

Xinyuna Silk Group is a large enterprise that focuses on the research, development, and production of silk products. It has participated in the setting, revision, and review of several industry standards in recent years. 

Jiangsu Goldland Oils & Grains Food Co Ltd has been listed as a national demonstration enterprise for quality oils. Today, the company is a leading enterprise in the agricultural industry with assets worth 1.1 billion yuan ($157.79 million). 

Zhongyang Group is the country’s first enterprise to conduct artificial propagation of the Yangtze River puffer fish.

Due to its efforts in the artificial propagation of fish, Zhongyang Group has been awarded the second prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress.
