Rugao releases Spring Festival consumption report
Key scenic spots in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, received a total of 131,800 visitors during the Spring Festival holiday, generating 105 million yuan ($15.54 million) in tourism revenue.
During the period, the occupancy rate of hotels in the city was up about 20 percent compared with a year ago, and the revenue of every available room was up more than 40 percent.
Data from box office tracker Maoyan showed that from Jan 21 to 27, the total box office revenue of 17 operating theaters in the city exceeded 10 million yuan, with more than 180,000 moviegoers, the most in Nantong.
Various large-scale promotional activities were carried out in the city to further stimulate the consumer market and promote recovery.
During the seven-day holiday, the city's key business areas received more than 1 million visitors.
