Hai'an projects win provincial sci-tech awards

The 2021 list of projects to be granted Jiangsu provincial science and technology awards was announced by the Jiangsu Province Department of Science and Technology on Dec 2.
A total of 266 projects made it onto the list, including two from the county-level city of Hai'an, administered by Nantong, in East China's Jiangsu province.
The Jiangsu science and technology award is mainly conferred on those sci-tech projects that achieve significant economic or social benefits. That's in terms of technical invention, technological development, major project construction, promotion and commercialization of sci-tech achievements, industrialization of advanced technologies and in social welfare.
One project – a key technology and industrialization of 5D/3F nylon functional superfine tows developed by Jiangsu WenFeng Chemical Fiber Group Co Ltd – won a third-grade prize. Having registered several intellectual property rights, the project has reached a leading global level in technology.
The applications of the key technology of the 5D/3F nylon functional superfine tows is said to be able to meet the needs of the development of downstream areas such as security protection, high-end clothing and in other textile industries.
Elsewhere, a project for intelligent processing equipment and applications for customized wooden doors won recognition.
Nantong Yuetong CNC Equipment Co Ltd, which worked with the China University of Mining and Technology and the Research Institute of Wood Industry of Chinese Academy of Forestry, achieved breakthroughs.
These were in high-efficiency processing, high-precision processing and other key technologies for customized wooden doors, developed customized intelligent processing equipment and production lines for wooden doors.
It is said to have broken the hold in the field of foreign monopolies and achieved leapfrog development in China's customized wooden door intelligent production technology.
