Huangda moth orchid plantation in Xingang village, Rugao offers a world of flowers, with colorful moth orchids blooming like vibrant butterflies.

The village attracted investment from Taiwan in 2019 to build the plantation, which spans more than 1.33 hectares.

The plantation's manager and flower keepers are all local villagers. During its peak season, the plantation hires more than 30 local workers, greatly increasing their incomes, according to Ju Jiufu, Party secretary of the village.

The plantation has made use of a large-scale flower sales center in the village to expand sales channels over the past two years. It currently grows more than 60 kinds of moth orchids and its monthly sales revenue exceeds 100,000 yuan ($15,470).

Ju said that the plantation has brought in more than 200,000 yuan to the village in annual operating revenue since its establishment.

The operator said that the plantation will be further expanded and offer more jobs to local residents.
