A memorial museum for revolutionary history in the eastern Nantong area opened in late June in Zhengyu town, Haimen district, Nantong, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Occupying more than one hectare, the museum has six exhibition areas that showcase locals' perseverance and determination in the quest for a better life over the past centuries.

The museum is a symbol of respect to the elder generations and a way to preserve and develop their revolutionary spirits, said Yu Kui, Party secretary of the town.

Among those who have helped with the town’s development is Tang Zikang, the founder of the town's leading robot company Zhenkang Machinery Co. For many years, Tang has been committed to improving the country's manufacturing industry and breaking the monopoly that foreign companies had.

His dream has since come true, with a series of breakthroughs being made and an increasing number of cutting-edge products being put into use.

Centered around Zhenkang Machinery, Zhengyu town is building a robot town which has gathered 17 companies involved in the industrial robot sector.

Yu said that the town is working on a new industrial development model based on local leading companies and their cooperation in technological research and development.

The efforts are meant to accelerate the development of a robot industry innovation cluster in the Yangtze River Delta region and transform the town into a new robotics hub with international competitiveness.
