A fun power walk was held on May 15 in the Nantong Urban Agricultural Park – in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – which saw over 1,600 staff from Chongchuan's sub-districts, development zones and education departments hit the road.
The event was an important part of the first Chongchuan staff cultural festival, in the wake of the merger of the original Chongchuan and Gangzha districts last July.
The participants were divided into 17 teams and proceeded along what is regarded as the most beautiful rural road in the park.
The event enabled everyone to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and feel the beauty and tranquility of the area.
Chongchuan district has focused on building a modern urban agricultural demonstration base with specialist industries, outstanding leisure functions and green benefits.
In so doing, it has paid a lot of attention to the construction and renovation of the Nantong Urban Agricultural Park, the Haohe River scenic spot, Tangzha Ancient Town, the Nantong Forest Safari Park and other tourism sites – to raise its profile and expand its culture and tourism brand.
