Chuanjiang town prioritizes security hazard remediation work

A special plan for a security hazard investigations and remediation program was launched in the Tongzhou district of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province in the past few days.
On May 15, villages in Chuanjiang town in Tongzhou worked closely with district departments to implement the plan.
The Tongzhou district development and reform commission led the No 9 working group and paired with Shuangqiao village. Shuangqiao village, located in the heart of the local home textiles park, has industrial parks and a large number of immigrant workers within its jurisdiction. After two days of investigations, many hidden safety hazards were identified.
In response, in addition to the original village staff, the No 9 working group also deployed 36 employees from the district development and reform commission to accelerate the investigation. Their brief was also to tackle such problems as group renting and illegal workshops.
The No 5 working group, led by the district housing and urban-rural development bureau, was set up for Sanhekou village. The group elected to conducted investigations and remediation tasks at the same time.
According to Ding Yajun, head of the housing and urban-rural development bureau, the group should eliminate the hidden hazards while not unduly disturbing residents.
