The 2020 list of the top 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region in terms of operating revenue was announced in Shanghai on Nov 19. Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province has six enterprises included, one of which is based in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong.

This year, the threshold for entering the top 100 enterprises list reached 56.38 billion yuan ($8.58 billion), 5.45 billion yuan higher than the previous one.

Jiangsu Nantong No. 2 Construction Engineering (Group) Co Ltd, or NT2J, ranked 82nd on the list, with operating revenue of 72.2 billion yuan in 2019.

With registered capital of more than 1 billion yuan, NT2J boasts a technical center which has made many achievements, such as 32 patents for invention, 120 patents for utility models, and participation in the formulation of two national or industrial standards.

The group has constructed 21 projects which earned the Luban Prize, 22 projects awarded State high-quality project awards, and has been listed as one of China's top 500 enterprises 15 consecutive times.

In 2019, it ranked 278th among the China's top 500 enterprises, and is regarded as a benchmark in China's construction industry.
