Rugao, Baoshan cooperate in employment
A labor service center for Baoshan city, in Southwest China’s Yunnan province, was established in Rugao, Nantong, Nov 3 to help increase employment in Baoshan and relieve labor shortages in Rugao.
Officials said that the two cities reached an agreement to work together to promote employment early this year. More than 100 people from Baoshan have found stable jobs in Rugao.
"We took part in a recruitment trip organized by the Rugao government to Yunnan early this year and hired 34 employees from the province," said Chen Qiuhong, personnel manager of a local curtain material company.
"Some of them have been promoted to managers for outstanding performances," Chen added.
According to Zhang Linsen, deputy director of the human resource bureau of Baoshan, an impoverished family has moved out of poverty after working in Rugao.
"The labor service center will serve as a bridge between Rugao employers and sources of labor in Baoshan and help Baoshan people live a happy life in Rugao," said Zhang.
Officials from the Rugao human resource department noted that the two sides will expand their partnerships to industrial cooperation and resource sharing, with the aim of pushing forward high-quality economic and social growth in both cities.
