The 2020 Sushang Development Conference and the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong cross-river integrated development forum opened in the Evergrande Venice hotel in Qidong, a county-level city of Nantong, on Sept 5.

Over 500 Jiangsu merchants attended the event and discussed the integrated development of Shanghai, Suzhou and Nantong.

Shen Wenrong, chairman of the Jiangsu Sushang Development Promotion Association, pointed out that Jiangsu merchants should strengthen their capacity for independent innovation and make breakthroughs in key core technologies.

The Sushang development promotion association will promote sharing of resources and development modes, and form a business ecosystem centered on Jiangsu merchants and benign interaction between all sectors of society to vitalize Jiangsu's high-quality economic development.

During the conference, a fund for poverty alleviation was also established.
