The Industry Match on Life Health and Biomedicine of the fifth Qichuang Cup Entrepreneurship Competition ended in Shanghai in East China on Aug 16.
Sponsored by the Qidong municipal Party committee and government, the entrepreneurship competition is aimed at displaying a string of high-quality venture projects and discovering a wealth of entrepreneur teams.
Focusing on the industries of life health and biomedicine, the competition attracted 27 participating projects in areas such as precision medicine, biopharmacy, medical instruments, and internet plus medical treatment.
At the site, an official from the Qidong talent office introduced the city's unique regional advantages and talent policies and demonstrated the broad developmental prospects for the life health and biomedical industries.
The contestants demonstrated their startup projects and teams via statements, answering experts' questions and those from other links. After fierce competition, two projects on the accurate diagnosis of common neurodegenerative diseases in the elderly and the development and industrialization of sensors for continuous monitoring of diabetic patients stood out and won the first prize.
In addition to the bonus, the projects that have won the first, second, and third prizes can directly enter the Qichuang Cup finals. Those settling in Qidong within one year can also receive corresponding policy support and preferential services.
