The youth innovation and entrepreneurship competition was launched recently in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong. The competition aims to build a platform for the exhibition and communication of youth innovation and entrepreneurship and project incubation, integrate the resources of service institutions, parks, funds and tutors, to help youth improve their abilities and success rate in starting businesses.

The competition consists of two categories – an agriculture and rural group, and a commerce, industry and internet group. The agriculture and rural group focuses on leisure agriculture, smart agriculture, creative agriculture, family farms, balcony agriculture, food processing, agricultural equipment and e-commerce. Priorities are given to projects related to targeted poverty alleviation.

The commerce, industry and internet group pays attention to energy saving and environmental protection, information technology, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, new energy, new materials, medical and health care, innovative education, cultural and creative services, social services and other related industries.

The registration deadline for the competition is July 20. Various prizes will be awarded after registration and preliminary review. Excellent projects will be recommended to attend the municipal, provincial and national competitions. The final winning projects will receive bonuses, material rewards, financing and entrepreneurial support.
