Art exhibition held in Chongchuan
An exhibition featuring painting and calligraphy works was hosted in Chongchuan district on June 29 through the joint efforts of the Nantong municipal committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chongchuan district's federation of literary and art circles.
The exhibition will last for 22 days, from June 29 to July 20, and celebrates the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Artists are encouraged to create more painting and calligraphy works that embody traditional culture and the spirit of the age.
The exhibited works were mainly produced by four local artists, including Chu Changlin, former vice-chairman of the Nantong municipal committee of the CPPCC, counselor of Jiangsu provincial couplet research institute, and a member of Jiangsu's calligraphers association.
The calligraphy works and Chinese paintings perfectly demonstrate the outstanding talent of their creators.
