A network security computer with independent intellectual property rights was officially launched at the Nantong Science Industrial Park in Gangzha district, Nantong on June 16.

It is developed by the Jiangsu Independent Innovation Center of China GreatWall Technology Group Co (CGT). The company, a subsidiary of China Electronics Corporation, is a leader in high-tech electronics, intelligent manufacturing, and information technology application in China.

The innovation center started operating at the Nantong Science Industrial Park in January 2020. It aims to establish a manufacturing center for self-developed computers, enhance the province's comprehensive capacity for independent network security, and promote the application of information technology in the region.

Huang Weifeng, secretary of Gangzha district's Party committee, expressed hope that local enterprises would be able help attract more partners to form an industrial cluster for information technology application.

The Gangzha branch of the information technology industrial park opened that same day. It was jointly developed by the innovation center of CGT and the Nantong Shibei High-tech Development Zone.

The center has also developed a laboratory with Southeast University and a research center with Nantong University.
