Gangzha deepens cooperation with Suzhou
A group of officials led by Huang Weifeng, secretary of Gangzha district's Party committee, participated in an exchange activity held in Xiangcheng district, Suzhou on April 28. The two sides signed a cooperation agreement on integrated development.
Xiangcheng district has made major contributions to the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region. It has developed 12 R&D clusters in high-end equipment, artificial intelligence and electronic information.
The district has gathered 495 big data enterprises, 121 industrial internet enterprises, 46 intelligent driving enterprises, 131 advanced materials enterprises, and over 8,000 high-level professionals.
In the first quarter of this year, Xiangcheng district signed a total of 156 industrial projects into effect, attracting 75.7 billion yuan ($10.7 billion) in investment.
The delegation from Gangzha visited several enterprises, a planning exhibition center, and a research institute in Xingcheng focusing on advanced materials.
Through the exchange activity, the two sides are expected to deepen cooperation in industrial development, sci-tech research, and training talent, and Gangzha will also learn from the successful experiences of Xiangcheng, said Huang.
