Gangzha promotes educational development
Over the past four years, Gangzha district, Nantong has invested nearly 2.4 billion yuan ($338.77 million) to boost local educational development. A total of 11 primary and secondary schools have been built or expanded, increasing the district's total student capacity by 13,000.
The north campus of the district's Beicheng Primary School has been completed and will be put into operation in the second half of this year, according to Liu Huajun, deputy director of Gangzha district's bureau of education.
The new campus is well-equipped and can accommodate 60 classes, covering an area of around 100 mu (6.67 hectares).

Zhu Lin, headmaster of the primary school, said that the school already has had 102 classes in total, and the number of students grows every year as more and more people move to the district. The newly-built north campus can help relieve the burden on the south campus.
This year, two more schools are expected to be constructed and three will be expanded.
