Nantong Hyosung Transformer Co, a Hai'an-based company mainly dealing in exports, has seen an increase in the number of foreign orders and earned over 100 million yuan ($14.11 million) in sales revenue this April.

As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads around the world, many enterprises are facing challenges. However, the company has maintained close cooperation with overseas clients and has seen a boost in revenue due to its high-quality products and quick delivery.

Due to travel restrictions, overseas clients are not able to inspect the products in person, so the company offers various test data for reference and invites a third-party testing institution to help with the inspection.

"We have frequent communications with the clients throughout process, from receiving the orders to checking the products," said Zhao Guangji, general manager of the company.

The company's suppliers of transformer components are mostly in Europe and America, and some have ceased shipments due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Zhao said the company promptly contacted clients after learning about the supply issues and provided alternatives.

The company's exports are expected to increase by 20 percent this year.

In addition to transformers, the company has established an R&D team to develop electric reactors and mutual inductors. It also plans to purchase a series of intelligent production equipment to enhance efficiency.
