As spring comes to in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, thousands of peony flowers have come into full bloom at the city's Orient Peony Garden.

According to employees at the garden, the flowers began blooming three to five days earlier than previous years due to the warmer weather this year. April 5 to 10 will be the best time to admire the blossoms.

Rugao Green Garden Co, owner of the peony garden, introduced 16 rare peony species in late 2019. All the plants are more than 100 years old and are large in size, with lush leaves and vibrant flowers.
