Chongchuan school hosts online sports competition
Nantong Chongchuan School, located in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, hosted a school Guinness sports competition online on March 3.
The competition has been being planned and prepared since the second half of 2019. Due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the school decided to host the competition online.
A variety of solo and parent-child events are included, such as one-minute jump-roping, shuttlecock kicking, plank and carrying sandbag on one foot. All these events can be done at home.
Students can choose the site and equipment themselves. The parents were asked to make video records for them and also serve as supervisors.
After the video records are submitted and rated, the students with the best performance in each event can obtain school Guinness certificates issued by the school's Guinness commission. Later, students can also challenge the current record-holders and set new records.
The competition is expected to relieve the pressure of study on students, encourage them to get more exercise and enrich their life amid the epidemic. The school hopes all students can enjoy good health.
