Nantong's first county-level nucleic acid test lab established in Qidong

After 20 days of construction, Nantong's first county-level nucleic acid test laboratory was recently put into use in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, according to Qidong’s health commission.
The lab aims to release the pressure due to the high demand in the city for nucleic acid tests caused by the coronavirus outbreak and to promote more convenient and quicker tests. All the required facilities were certified and installed with the help of the provincial and city centers for disease control and prevention.
Workers at the lab have received training at the provincial center for disease control and prevention and are qualified to conduct nucleic acid testing.
The lab is well equipped and qualified to do nucleic acid tests. It is the first of its kind in the city of Nantong and also in Central and North Jiangsu province.
It provides strong technical support to the prevention and control of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Qidong and contributes to the timely and scientific assessment of the epidemic.
