Qidong-based company sends drugs for COVID-19 treatment
Gaitianli Pharmaceutical Co, based in Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu province, delivered boxes of huai er ke li worth 200,000 yuan ($28,650) to Huangguang Central Hospital in Hubei province on Feb 15.
Huai er ke li is a kind of Chinese medicine that treats lack of vital energy and blood stasis. It is expected to be used in the clinical treatment of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Qidong-based company, established in 1995, focuses on developing, producing and selling Chinese patent drugs. It engages in the treatment of tumors and immune diseases and has made great achievements.
As a national class I anti-cancer drug developed by the company, the huai er ke li has won several patents for invention and the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology.
