Gangzha helps companies resume operations
Gangzha district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has put forward several supporting policies to help local enterprises resume operations. All enterprises in the district worth over 100 million yuan ($14.27 million) had resumed operations by Feb 25.
To promote a smooth resumption of operations amid epidemic control efforts, the district promptly made plans and established a special team to deal with related issues. A meeting of executives was also held by the Gangzha district government to discuss problems faced by local enterprises.
In addition, a document on major project development was recently issued in a bid to promote economic and social development while preventing the spread of the virus.
To date, a total of 324 officials from local government departments have been dispatched to carefully monitor the situations of enterprises. Fourteen working groups focusing on materials supply, epidemic prevention in enterprises, operational support, and more have been formed in the district.
Furthermore, a large number of protective materials, including over 500,000 face masks, 105 thermometers, 2,000 protective suits, 10.2 metric tons of disinfectant, and 4,000 gloves, have been provided to local enterprises.
To deal with a shortage of labor, the district has helped 114 enterprises recruit through local news media. The district government has also chartered buses to retrieve workers from Shandong, Anhui, and Henan provinces.
Also, local financing institutions are encouraged to provide financial support to enterprises facing difficulties due to the virus outbreak.
