Tongzhou adopts smart system for epidemic control
Tongzhou district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has taken advantage of its smart health system to step up prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The district provides online services on the official WeChat account of the local health commission, allowing residents to view information on epidemic control, receive psychological consultations and make self-diagnoses online.
The district is also promoting mobile payment in order to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of virus transmission. Paying by WeChat or Alipay is standard in all hospitals and medical centers in the district, which can save time and reduce contact through paper currency.
To further avoid human-to-human contact, a video conference system is being used in Tongzhou district. The system has helped nearly 100 local medical workers receive remote training sessions.
