Tongzhou artists create artworks to support fight against virus
Artists in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province have created a number of diverse artworks to support the fight against the novel coronavirus.
Zhu Can, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association and chairman of the Tongzhou district musicians association, recently created a song themed around the fight against the virus. The song praises people who have contributed to the fight and has been widely circulated throughout the region.
Chen Penggang, a member of the Chinese Artists Association and vice-chairman of the Tongzhou district artists association, has created five artworks since the virus outbreak, including Chinese paintings, printmaking, and comics.
Chen said he plans to produce more works to encourage people and promote scientific methods for controlling the epidemic, as people have been urged to stay at home unless necessary.

To date, more than 400 works of art have been produced, including literature, music, calligraphy, photography, and more. The best pieces have been published in the district's official newspaper and on its official WeChat account, and some have even been shown in provincial news media.
