Children in Gangzha district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, visited a local folk custom museum on Jan 6 to learn about how people historically celebrated the Spring Festival.

The museum is known as a "grassroots museum", as it showcases tools related to farming, spinning, tiling, fishing, and hunting. Around 1,000 tools and articles of daily use are on display there.

Many of the children had already learned about folk customs and local culture from their teachers. During the visit, they asked many questions about traditional Spring Festival customs.

The tour is meant to teach children about the past so that they can better appreciate the present and understand the local culture.
