Two Suzhou-based companies, HuaduJG Co and Fantasy Co, signed agreements with Motou town in Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Jan 6 to establish manufacturing plants in the town.

HuaduJG Co was founded in Kunshan in 2011 and specializes in the development and production of machine tools and mold bases. It will spend 580 million yuan ($83.52 million) building its plant in Motou, which is expected to begin generating more than 1 billion yuan within three years of commencing operation.

Fantasy Co, headquartered in Hong Kong, is a professional manufacturer of LED lamps, displays, SMD lamps, and other LED-related products. It is a first-tier supplier of international tech behemoths, like Huawei, Lenovo, Dell, and HP.

The company already operates in Hunan province and Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Its new plant in Motou will receive 550 million yuan in investment and is also expected to begin bringing in more than 1 billion yuan within three years of its completion.

"Rugao is being presented great opportunities brought about by the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region," said Zhang Jianhua, secretary of the Rugao Committee of the Communist Party of China.

"The projects will benefit from Rugao’s advantages and are expected to become high-end manufacturing centers," Zhang added, saying that relevant departments should provide their full support to ensure that construction progresses smoothly.
