A performance by an acrobatic troupe from Rudong county, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was awarded at the 4th World Chinese Spring Festival Gala held in Los Angeles, United States on Jan 4.

The gala showcased Chinese culture through both traditional and innovative performances, including singing, dancing, operas, acrobatics, and more. Rudong's acrobatic performance beat out 20 other performances to claim the gold medal.

The gala, hosted by Hollywood Culture Media Group, is meant to give Chinese people a platform for expressing their love for their homeland.

Chen Chunliu, deputy mayor of Rudong county, led the troupe to the United States. He met with the mayor of Los Angeles, who praised Chinese acrobatics as an ancient performance art and a significant part of Chinese culture.

Cultural exchange activities such as this are expected to bring about more cooperation in a variety of fields and create a deeper understanding between China and the United States.
