Rudong-based company produces giant wind turbine blades
A Rudong-based company has recently produced a set of 90-meter-long wind turbine blades.
The blade is essential for turning wind power into mechanical energy. It will directly affect the performance and efficiency of the entire wind turbine.
Blades are continuing to become larger and larger as the capacity of wind turbine generators expands. Whether or not a company is capable of producing large wind turbine blades is now considered an indicator of its technical strength.
The newly produced wind turbine blades can be used in strong winds and users can change the angle of the blades to reduce load and improve aerodynamic efficiency when encountering strong winds.
The blades are made of high-performance carbon fiber materials, making them lighter and more suitable for offshore wind turbines.
The company, a subsidiary of Chongqing General Industry Group Co, started operating in Rudong in 2016 and can produce more types of wind turbine blades than nearly any other company in China.
Its products have been used in Japan, South Korea, and Ukraine, strengthening its international reputation. It is currently working to expand its operations in Japan and South Korea, which is expected to increase its annual revenue to over 800 million yuan ($114.81 million).
