Smart parking lots introduced in Hai'an
Hai'an has accelerated the construction of infrastructure in the city and is currently focusing on developing smart parking lots.
This year, three new parking lots have begun operating, helping to alleviate parking-related problems. The parking area on Haiguang West Road is part of an urban green area consisting of a public toilet, a garden, and footpaths.
The first smart parking lot in Hai'an, which makes use of big data and internet of things, allows cars to enter and exit by scanning a QR code, and people can also book parking spaces using their mobile phones.
Eleven non-profit parking lots and 370 street parking spaces have been established in the city so far.
The parking lots and street parking spaces are all monitored by the smart parking command center. This will help ensure that cars can be directed to vacant spaces.
"The integration of the internet and the parking industry will help solve parking issues and improve parking efficiency," said Yuan Jiagen, director of the Hai'an urban management bureau.
