A new center to facilitate the local government's move towards media convergence was unveiled in Rudong county, Nantong, in Jiangsu province on June 25.

The new center aims to integrate traditional media forms and platforms with new ones for the further development of local journalism.

The center is expected to be a major force in improving Rudong's recognition across the country.

Local officials including Shen Junfeng, Party chief of Rudong county and Chen Huiyu, governor of the county, participated in the event.
