The 12th China Rudong Coastal Economic Cooperation Fair is scheduled to open in Shanghai on Dec 20, according to the local investment organ.

The fair, organized by the government of Rudong county, is expected to invite thousands of business people from home and aboard.

The event will set one main venue and four sub-venues for activities such as the summit on talents and technologies, cross-border e-commerce development forum, media salon and introduction of investment environment.

Focusing on industries such as cross-border e-commerce, the fair aims to attract high-end industries including intelligent manufacturing, biological medicine, new material and new energy to invest in Rudong county.

A total of 20 programs are expected to be signed at the fair.

Qian Hongbin, director of the local investment organ, said that Yangkou Port Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park will be unveiled at the fair, offering a platform for attracting investment.

A festival attracting high-tech people will also be held during the fair. The festival, launched in 2015, has become a local brand in introducing intelligence.
