The Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology has introduced its list of science and technology museums highlighting new quality productive forces for 2026, with a science and technology innovation center in Hai'an included.

The center is backed by Xinyuan Cocoon Silk Group's complete industrial chain covering sericulture, cocoon processing and silk production. It is centered on five key areas related to new quality productive forces: advanced textile materials, biomedical materials, smart agriculture, digital intelligent manufacturing and green circular biotransformation.

The center is a provincial-level science education base and an extracurricular labor and study base for the cocoon and silk industry. It integrates displays of cutting-edge achievements, interactive experiments, on-site learning in production workshops and science education programs based on industry-academia-research collaboration.

The center features five themed exhibition areas and three production and research spaces open to the public. Visitors can gain a closer look at processes including silkworms spinning silk and silk reeling, allowing technological advances in the traditional cocoon and silk industry to be presented as educational resources.
