Qidong offshore wind farm generates 1.47b kWh in H1

The Qidong offshore wind farm had generated about 1.47 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the first half of 2026, up 40.73 percent year-on-year.
The average daily output reached 8.13 million kWh, enough to meet the monthly electricity demand of about 42,000 households.
The power generation helped save 892,000 metric tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2.4 million tons.
Located in one of China's coastal cities with the richest wind resources, Qidong has built three offshore wind farms with 134 turbines and a total installed capacity of 800 megawatts. The facilities are supported by three 220-kilovolt offshore booster stations and one onshore central control station.
