Rudong firm drives dual-track growth in EV parts and robotics
Jiangsu Yuchuan New Energy Technology, located in Rudong Economic Development Zone, Rudong, Jiangsu province, has begun mass production of a new robotic intelligent joint module, adding momentum to the company's annual sales goal of 1.5 billion yuan ($207 million).
The move marks the company's strategic expansion from its core electric vehicle (EV) reducer business into the robotics sector.
The company's reducers, featuring lightweight design, high rotation speeds, and low noise, have captured the top market share in China's independent EV reducer market in terms of delivery quantity for three consecutive years, supplying major automakers including Hongqi and Chery.
The company also plans to extend its product lineup to premium B-class and C-class vehicle models.

Leveraging core technological synergies between EV reducers and robotic joint modules—such as precision machining and noise control—Yuchuan plans to produce 400,000 sets of new robotic joint modules a year. The product is designed to solve issues of rigidity and high noise common in traditional robotic joints.
"We aim to achieve leapfrog development in the robotics track through technological leadership," said co-founder Ye Xilu.
A high-tech enterprise specializing in research, development, production, and sales of new energy drivetrain core components, Yuchuan has seen its growth supported by the Rudong zone, which has provided responsive services to facilitate capacity expansion and technological upgrades, energizing the local advanced manufacturing cluster.
