How to celebrate Spring Festival in Haimen

During the Spring Festival holiday, Haimen district in Nantong launched a series of cultural and tourism activities, creating a unique festive celebration. 

Yunqi Xingjing International Cultural Tourism Base 

This base will host themed activities such as the Spring Festival Garden Party and intangible cultural heritage (ICH) experiences, offering immersive new opportunities for family fun. 

Qinglong Port 1806 Scenic Area 

This area will bring together specialty foods, creative ICH products, interactive games, and stage performances, blending traditional and modern garden entertainment.

Zhang Jian Hometown Scenic Area 

This area focuses on the culture of the revered scholar Zhang Jian (1853–1926), a leading industrialist and educator from Haimen during the late Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). Visitors can explore experience zones for ICH handicrafts, science workshops, traditional games, and more. 

Yudong Ancient Town 

Yudong Ancient Town offers ICH performances and a Chinese New Year experience route. Visitors can ring the fortune bell, enjoy dragon lantern parades, savor ICH foods, and make their own lanterns.

Haimen Grand Theatre 

The Haimen Grand Theatre will host a Chinese classic melodies concert on Feb 20 and a performance of Deyunshe, a Chinese renowned crosstalk club, on March 3. 

Haimen E-sports Center 

The Haimen E-sports Center will hold viewing events for the 2026 KPL Spring Season and the KGL Spring Season, combining the e-sports craze with cultural tourism experiences. KPL and KGL are two major competitions for Honor of Kings, a popular mobile game in China.

Haimen Codion Football Club 

During the Spring Festival holiday, Codion Football Club's new base will open its soccer culture exhibition hall, complete with special photo zones featuring player figurines and honorary trophies.
