Nantong Forest Safari Park, for example, invited children to make moon cakes for wildlife and offered chartered buses for them to tour the park with their peers.

Ancient Tangzha town launched a treasure hunt during which participants learned how to make soap and experienced movable-type printing while at Yuantuojiao Resort. Visitors admired the sunrise and fireworks while driving a motorboat or a bumper boat.

A sacrificial ceremony for the moon, performances, bazars, and a poem recitation meeting in ancient Bencha town attracted many tourists, while the outdoor barbecue, bonfire party, and sports meet at Kaisha Island's RV camping base spiced up the holiday experience.

In addition, Nantong authorities organized cultural activities. The Nantong Museum provided exhibitions and online courses on Zhang Jian (1853-1926), a renowned industrial magnate, educator, and scholar in Nantong.
