The opening ceremony of Sunac Jiangyuhai Cup China Lure Fishing Open Tournament (Qidong Yuantuojiao race) was held in Golden Beach scenic area in Qidong, a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province on Oct 30. It is a major fishing event in 2020.

Located on the east side of Yinyang town in Qidong, Golden Beach scenic area covers more than 133 hectares and attracts thousands of visitors by virtue of its unique seascapes.

It is also a renowned giant sea bass fishing field in the domestic lure circle, attracting lure lovers from all over China.

The competition started on Oct 31 and ended on Nov 1. Over 60 anglers from all over the country gathered at the Gol scenic area to show their superb fishing skills.

Sponsored by China Angling Association, China Lure Fishing Open Tournament is a comprehensive competition integrating water sports and lure fishing. Starting in 2013, it has been held annually and has grown into a top domestic lure event.

After two days' competition, Wang Zhifei, from Wuxi, won the championship by catching four fish weighing 7.4 kilograms in total. Zhang Wenkai from Jiangsu's Taizhou city and Gou Gang from Shanghai respectively won the second and third prizes.

Meanwhile, Wang also won the award for the largest single fish with one that weighed 3.6 kg.
