Golden Beach Scenic Area is located in the north of Huanghai wetland provincial natural reserve. It is at the southern end of the Yellow Sea and in the eastern part of Yuantuojiao Resort. It is the first place in the Yangtze River Delta where people can greet the sunrise.

Covering 1.8 square kilometers, the scenic area is the first national 3A tourist area in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong. It is also a provincial wetland park in Jiangsu province.

The golden beach is part of an ecological wetland, has vast tidal flats, rich shellfish resources, beautiful surroundings, lush water plants, a golden sand beach and flying gulls.

Tourists can go sightseeing along the beach by oxcart, beach comb, catch crabs, collect mud snails, and dig for sea cucumbers, enjoying the fun of getting close to the sea.

Visitors can also fly kites on the beach, play beach volleyball, beach football, ride motorcycles, enjoy other recreational sports, as well as go on a cruise ship.

A guest service center, bird watching platform and Binhai square were also built recently.
