Rudong Border Inspection Station boosts Yangkou Port's foreign trade
The liquid chemical terminal at Yangkou Port in Rudong, Jiangsu province, welcomed its 100th foreign vessel this year on Sept 20, 53 days earlier than in 2025, setting a new record for the terminal.
Its foreign trade throughput has exceeded 1.27 million metric tons so far in 2026, up 40.42 percent year-on-year.
The growth reflects both the expansion of port-side industries and improvements in the business environment. With new materials companies increasing capacity, demand for imported liquid raw materials and exported chemical products has risen steadily, making it routine for multiple vessels to berth at the same time.

To ensure efficient clearance, Rudong Border Inspection Station has coordinated security control with service improvements. It maintains 24-hour on-island duty and applies pre-inspection, immediate inspection upon arrival and real-time processing to shorten waiting times.
It also uses drones, video surveillance and on-island officers to form a three-dimensional supervision system, enabling non-contact checks without disrupting operations. Joint patrols with maritime and customs authorities help keep import and export channels open.
