Yangkou Port's LNG terminal wins Jiangsu's first carbon-neutral certification
The PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal at Yangkou Port, Rudong, Jiangsu province, has received a certificate of carbon-neutrality from the Tianjin Climate Exchange, becoming the first LNG terminal in Jiangsu to earn this recognition.
The certification covers the terminal's 2025 greenhouse gas emissions and marks important progress in its green, low-carbon operations and carbon neutrality practices.
PetroChina LNG Jiangsu Company has actively supported China's dual carbon goals of peaking carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060. It built a distributed solar power system on rooftops and idle spaces.

By the end of 2025, the system had generated over 350,000 kWh, cutting more than 200 metric tons of CO2. In 2025, the terminal also used over 2.6 million kWh of wind-generated green electricity, reducing CO2 emissions by over 1,500 tons.
The company has optimized energy use in LNG receiving, storage, regasification and export, and is advancing cold energy utilization.
Going forward, the terminal will focus on solar power, green electricity, cold energy use and equipment efficiency. It will also improve carbon emission accounting and carbon asset management to ensure sustainable carbon-neutral operations.
