Nantong, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, celebrated its third annual "Talent Day" on April 20 by launching the "Four Chains, Four Platforms" initiative — a new program designed to attract and support skilled professionals in driving the city's growth.

Since March 2023, Nantong has designated the "Grain Rain" day, the last of China's 24 solar terms, symbolizing renewal and opportunity.

This year's initiative focuses on strengthening innovation, industry, capital, and talent networks while creating integrated platforms for policy support, collaboration, financing, and career development. By breaking barriers and consolidating resources, Nantong aims to provide comprehensive support for professionals looking to thrive in the city.

As part of the event, a job fair featuring 730 high-quality positions in modern industries drew over 2,200 university graduates, with 347 expressing strong interest in the job opportunities.

Nantong is rapidly emerging as a key talent hub in the Yangtze River Delta region. To date, the city has awarded over 56.6 million yuan ($7.8 million) in subsidies to 14,860 graduates, demonstrating its commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.
