In response to the current complex and ever-changing international situation, the foreign trade enterprises in Nantong, Jiangsu province, are actively expanding the domestic market through measures such as expanding sales channels and optimizing supply chain management.
Overseas exhibitions are important for foreign trade enterprises to explore overseas markets. The 2025 Cologne International Trade Fair for Fitness, Leisure, Sport, and Bodybuilding (FIBO) in Germany concluded recently. Renowned Nantong sports goods manufacturing companies such as Ironmen, Better, and Rising participated, showcasing products to foreign buyers through physical displays and video presentations.
Nantong Duoxuan Textile, a small and medium-sized foreign trade company engaged in the cross-border home textile sector, has revised its strategies this year to stabilize order volumes and address market challenges. The company is transitioning from an exclusive reliance on exports to a dual focus on both domestic and international markets. To optimize sales performance, the company is expanding its distribution channels, enhancing its research and development capabilities, and implementing measures to reduce costs.
Zheng Fugui, head of Duoxuan, said, "The company focuses on developing e-commerce supply channels and has run a store on the professional supply platform, 91jf."
He added that they can customize product styles and packaging according to customers' needs, integrating corporate elements to enhance the added value. In terms of cost control, they optimize supply chain management, establish long-term stable cooperation with high-quality raw material suppliers, and reduce raw material procurement and transportation costs through centralized procurement and better logistics distribution.
Cross-border e-commerce is another important breakthrough in foreign trade development. In recent years, Nantong has actively nurtured local e-commerce platforms, forming a group of internationally influential digital trade hubs such as 91jf. These platforms have become important channels for Nantong-made products to go global.
Currently, these platforms are rolling out a series of measures, such as reducing entry fees, opening foreign trade zones, million-yuan e-commerce subsidies, and freight subsidies to support local foreign trade enterprises.
