In recent years, the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone has leveraged talent attraction to foster industrial growth, focusing on cultivating new quality productive forces. The zone has actively recruited top talent and partnered with renowned universities and research institutions to drive innovation.
A major milestone is the upcoming completion of a 350-million-yuan ($49.36-million) pre-production testing base at Yangkou Port Chemical Park, a collaboration with Peking University's Sunan Institute for Molecular Engineering.
Following the substantial investments of over 45 billion yuan by companies like Tongkun in petrochemical materials and paper industries, several high-end marine equipment manufacturing projects, including Far East Cable and Jusheng Heavy Industry, are progressing rapidly.
