Three new major projects initiated in Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone

Agreements for three major projects with a total investment of nearly 8 billion yuan ($1,116.15 million) were signed in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone, Rudong, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Jan 30.

The projects include a facility by Juchen New Energy which aims to produce 20 gigawatt hours of energy storage cells annually, a subsidiary of Green Energy focusing on the annual production of 200,000 square meters of perfluorosulfonic acid ion exchange membrane and 1 GWh of flow batteries, and a Suzhou Silica Electronic Materials factory dedicated to the annual production of 20,000 metric tons of electronic-grade silica sol and its derivatives.

Chen Huiyu, Party secretary of Rudong, said during the signing ceremony that these projects align closely with Rudong's industrial layout and will further promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the county's industries. Rudong is committed to providing proactive and comprehensive services to ensure that entrepreneurs can invest and develop with confidence, Chen added.

Representatives of the three companies gave high praise to the county's investment environment and development prospects. They acknowledged the professionalism and the efficient services provided by the government, expressed confidence in the future development, and pledged full support to ensure the smooth implementation and operation of the projects.
