The production base of Tongkun Group at Yangkou Port, Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province generated 21.33 billion yuan ($2.99 billion) in taxable sales during the first nine months of 2023. The amount for the whole year is expected to reach 30 billion yuan.

Tongkun Group is the world's largest polyester filament yarn (PFY) producer and has been ranked among the top 500 Chinese enterprises for the past 20 years. The first phase of its production base in Yangkou Port, which has an annual output of 5 million tons of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and 2.4 million tons of functional fiber, started operating in Dec 2021.
