Since the opening of more wharfs and berths in December 2022, Yangkou Port has seen an increase in traffic. However, fishing boats that anchor and cast nets near the port have posed risks to vessels.
To ensure safe navigation, Yangkou Port decided to renovate three light buoys in the channel south of its entrance, adding cameras that can monitor real-time conditions in nearby waters.
The renovated buoys not only have positioning and navigation functions but also can help with vessel monitoring, water pollution monitoring, collision warning and emergency response.
