Financial support for projects being backed by the Fuhai Talent Program and the independent talent programs of towns and sub-districts in Rudong county – administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – and undertaken in 2021 was recently granted.
There were over 40 projects that were recognized in this endeavor, engaged in such fields as semiconductor filters, biomedicines and new materials – receiving a subsidy of more than 1 million yuan ($157,245) on average.
It is expected that these projects will help Rudong to continue to expand its emerging industries.
Rudong is said to have committed itself to becoming a region with a high-quality workforce. Last year, the county's Party committee and government rolled out 55 incentives designed to increase the recruitment of top-flight personnel.
A maximum endowment of 5 million yuan will be given, after evaluation, as startup capital to high-level talent or teams who establish or take the lead in creating an independent innovative sci-tech enterprise in Rudong.
A maximum 3 million yuan subsidy will be given to top-flight personnel or teams who commercialize their independent intellectual property achievements – at a leading international or domestic level – in Rudong businesses.
In addition, the county has also arranged first-class treatment for personnel in terms of their living conditions, children's school enrollments, the employment of family members, health checkups and other aspects.
