The ZTT Fishing and Solar System in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Rudong county, Nantong, in East China's Jiangsu province – generated a total of 82.04 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in the first nine months of the current year, local media reported recently.

It is estimated that the facility will be able to generate more than 100 million kWh of electricity by the end of this year.

The system – which stretches 8 kilometers along the shore at Yangkou Port – integrates fish farming with solar power panel generation, which makes it eco-friendly and multifunctional.

The facility currently has an installed capacity of 85 megawatts which is fully connected to the national grid.
